"Sustainability, Design & Construction"

World of Asphalt 2009 will feature the Asphalt Pavement Alliance's Asphalt Pavement Conference. The Alliance is a coalition of the National Asphalt Pavement Association, the Asphalt Institute and the State Asphalt Pavement Associations whose mission is to further the use and quality of hot-mix asphalt pavements.

This year's conference theme "Sustainability, Design & Construction" will focus on the sustainability, design and construction of HMA pavements. The conference will present how asphalt pavements meet and are working to improve sustainability through recycling, warm-mix asphalt, porous pavements and long life pavements. Superpave for local agencies, intelligent compaction, quality assurance for small projects, designing mixes using the Bailey method, thin lift overlays and mix type selection for long life pavements are designed to help participants maximize performance and reduce costs of pavements.

Who Should Attend?

The APA Asphalt Pavement Conference is designed for paving professionals in the public and private sectors. Construction managers, project superintendents, inspectors, QC/QA technicians/managers and others involved in the design construction and maintenance process will benefit.
